چکیده

Using the wideband indoor channel measurements data at 2.4, 4.75 and 11.5 GHz of [1], a statistical Ultra Wide Band (UWB) channel model is determined. Employing different windows (i.e. Rectangular, Hanning and Blackman-Harris), the impulse response model for the UWB channel is obtained and accordingly, major channel parameters such as path loss exponent, shadowing, root mean square (rms) delay spread and number of multipath components are investigated. The path loss depends on the window type used. The path loss exponent is found to be lower than the free space attenuation for LOS at the three frequencies. For OBS, the path loss exponent increases with the frequency. The standard deviation of the shadow fading is much larger for OBS than for LOS. The RDS depends on the distance and is found to be about 9-11 ns and 18-21 ns for LOS and OBS, respectively. Keywordschannel measurements, UWB, windowing, multipath, path loss, shadowing, rms delay spread.

Wideband indoor channel measurements and BER analysis of frequency selective multipath channels at 2.4, 4.75, and 11.5 GHz

Results from propagation measurements, conducted in an indoor office environment at 2.4, 4.75, and 11.5 GHz, are presented. The data were obtained in small clusters of six measurements, using a coherent wideband measurement system. The channel characteristics for the three frequencies are compared by evaluating path loss, rms delay spread, and coherence bandwidth. An analytical model for evalua...

Ultra-wideband Frequency Analysis: State-of-the-art, Measurements and Modeling

This paper presents a tutorial overview of ultrawideband (UWB) propagation models. The channels models IEEE 802.15.3a y IEEE 802.15.4a are revised and examined. Subsequently, the UWB channel in the frequency domain is analyzed. Results of the amplitude statistics in this domain and of the correlation coefficient between subcarriers in a MB-OFDM UWB system are obtained. In addition, the UWB chan...

Ultra Wideband Channel Model for IEEE 802.15.4a and Performance Comparison of DBPSK/OQPSK Systems

Ultra Wideband (UWB) is a radio technology that can be used at very low energy levels for short-range high-bandwidth communications by using a large portion of the radio spectrum. Ultra Wideband (UWB) systems transmit signals across a much wider frequency than conventional systems and are usually very difficult to detect. The focus of this research is to model the Ultra wideband (UWB) channel f...
